TRAINING WORKERS, REACHING THE HARVEST IN EAST AFRICA

Our International Directors Scott and Sherri Dalton recently returned from an extremely productive ministry trip to Tanzania, Zanzibar, and Kenya. The fruit of training workers in our church-based Missio Global Schools of Ministry and planting churches in least reached areas was clearly evident! The beginning of the trip saw the first three-year degree program graduates in Tanzania (first picture) and Zanzibar (second picture). There were ten graduates in each location. These graduates are active in ministry, including many pastors.

Several of the graduates and even current students in the Schools of Ministry have planted churches. Missio Global has assisted in four church plants through our church planting funds. One such student is Pastor Isaya (picture below) who moved with his wife from Zanzibar city to a bush area to plant a church. They are standing in front of their home and the church, full of the joy of the Lord. This is a new church where there was no church at all!

The Dalton’s third stop was Kenya where Missio Global has begun a dynamic relationship with a ministry focused on planting churches in unreached people groups. They are already training about 30 leaders in their “city” church and are ready to launch a second School of Ministry in an extremely remote location that will train about 20 leaders for church planting (picture below). The approved students are shown holding their first quarter student workbook written in Kiswahili, the principle language of eastern Africa.
